The object of the club is to provide sites and amenities for members at a reasonable cost  and to promote friendship and understanding between members of British Leyland Camping & Caravan Association.

 

 

1.        A management committee consisting of  6 members, 4 of who will be elected at each yearly AGM, will be formed to manage the club affairs.

 

2.        The committee members will be allowed one vote each except in the case of a tied vote when the Chairman of the meeting will be allowed an additional casting vote.

 

3.        An AGM will be called annually and will be held in September or October. The AGM will elect the committee members, discuss the annual accounts and any motions submitted and any other business deemed by the committee to be in the interest of the members. The accounts will be presented after audit by two independent people.

 

4.        An Extraordinary General Meeting may be called by :-The Committee if 75 % of the committee agree.

Members if the proposal is supported by one third of the members based on the previous year’s membership.

The motion and venue will be notified to all members by post 14 days prior to the meeting. Only the motion proposed will be discussed.

 

5.        Membership will run from 1 January to 31 December – the annual fee will include the membership fee to the BLCCA in addition to other fees set by the LCCC committee.

 

6.        The committee will be responsible for all monies banked and credited to Leyland CCC and will ensure that a minimum amount of £500.00 is kept in a reserve account. Three signatories will be nominated from the committee from which any two may sign cheques.

 

7.        All monies will be used for the benefit of the club and only authorised purchases agreed by the committee and / or the AGM will be allowed.

 

8.        Members are expected at all times to obey such rules and regulations as laid down by the DETR. In addition those site rules and codes of conduct contained within the British Leyland CCA rally book will apply.

 

9.        Persons who hold a full driving licence for the class of vehicle being driven must only drive vehicles on the rally field. Provisional licence holders and non-licence holders are strictly forbidden to either drive or steer any motor vehicle on the rally field.

 

10.      Only vehicles built to the manufacturers specification will be allowed on the rally field as sleeping accommodation – if in doubt ASK.

 

11.      A rally marshal will be appointed for each rally and he / she will have sole charge of the rally. The Rally Marshal will at all times ensure that the regulations are adhered to.

 

12.      It is the duty of all members when on site, to ensure that the members of their unit are aware of the regulations applicable and to ensure that the rules are adhered to.The association Rally book contains the basic regulations.

 

If a rally requires a deposit then this deposit may be forfeited if the member does not attend the rally.

 

13.      Persons aged over 17 years  are considered to be adults and therefore must be Members of the club.(see rule 22)  Club members from the same family may share the family unit by prior arrangement/agreement with the rally marshal.

14.      Gazebos may be erected within the confines of the individual pitch having regard  to the 20 foot ruling (see Association Site book). They must, however, be taken down at night.

 

If a gazeebo is erected on a rally and is in use for any club function then the “No Smoking” ruling will apply. Additionally only club equipment or equipment approved by the committee for heating and lighting will be allowed in the gazeebo. No naked flame allowed.

 

15.      If a group of member’s children express a wish to sleep collectively in their pup tents  then, with the permission of the rally marshal, a designated area will be set aside for this purpose. A responsible adult must be nominated and will be responsible for the control of the children.

 

16.      Any member deemed to have contravened the regulations may be asked to leave the venue by the Rally Marshal. The committee may ask the member concerned to provide an explanation of the reason for the contravention of the regulations. The member will be able to provide a written explanation and in extreme cases may be invited to attend a committee meeting to explain.

 

17.      No legal liabilities of any sort arising from negligence by any representative acting on behalf of Leyland CCC will be accepted by  Leyland CCC or British Leyland Camping and Caravan Association.

 

18.      The winding up of the Club will take place if membership falls below 25 members. Debts will not be allowed to accumulate and all equipment will be sold and money raised will be used to defray any debts. Remaining money, if any, will be divided equally between remaining members provided that they have a minimum of 12months membership, or will be donated to charity.

 

19.      Parents are reminded that their children are their responsibility and that they are responsible for their actions AT ALL TIMES.

 

20.      Non Unit Member Young adults of members who are aged  over 17 but not aged 21 may join the club for a reduced fee. They will have the same rights as a full member but will not receive a rally book. If the non-unit member wishes to convert to full membership then any membership fees paid for the year will be offset

 

21.      When the rally marshal feels that vehicle movement will be disadvantageous to the rally field a coloured pennant will be attached to the flagpole. This will mean that if a vehicle is taken off site   then it must be left off the field until the rally marshal removes the restriction of  movement of vehicles. This to apply to ALL VEHICLES. – Medical circumstances will be taken into account.
